US Weighs Ban on Richard Li’s HKT as China Tensions Rise

The US is taking steps to block HKT, one of Hong Kong’s largest phone companies, from accessing domestic telecom networks, citing national security concerns.

The FCC has called on HKT to explain why revocation proceedings should not be commenced against it, due to its affiliation with China Unicom Hong Kong Ltd.
